This volume, the eighth in the series of final reports of the excavations in the Jewish Quarter conducted by Nahman Avigad from 1969-1982, presents the architecture in Areas F-2, P and P-2. It focuses upon the remains of the Palatial Mansion, a 600 sq. m. very elaborately constructed domestic dwelling, violently destroyed by the Roman legions in 70 CE, preserved today in the Herodian Quarter-Wohl Archaeological Museum.
