Cuneiform in Canaan. Cuneiform Sources From the Land of Israel in Ancient Times

The Israel Exploration Society has received a limited number of copies of this volume for sale.

Cuneiform in Canaan, the Next Generation presents anew the corpus of texts first examined in the Cuneiform in Canaan volume that was published by the Israel Exploration Society and Hebrew University in 2006. The new volume includes 97 texts in critical editions, with a discussion of recently discovered fragments of letters written in Late Bronze Age Jerusalem, documents from Hazor (including the Hazor Law Fragment that parallels the Law Code of Hammurabi), and a new administrative tablet from Megiddo. The new volume begins with a new updated introduction highlighting the ongoing work of the Cuneiform in Canaan research project at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem under the directorship of Professor Wayne Horowitz of the Institute of Archaeology. Updated editions and photographs of a number of the texts published in the 2006 edition are also available in the new volume.
