Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to the 50th Archaeological Congress in Israel, which will take place on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the Mount Scopus Campus of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, in the Institute of Archaeology building and the adjacent Truman building.

After months of postponements, uncertainty, and challenges caused by the security situation, we made a special effort to hold the congress in person, in the hope of bringing our archaeological community together face to face once again. We see this as a meaningful communal achievement, especially this year.

The congress will be held in a hybrid format (with lectures in Hebrew), and all sessions will also be streamed via Zoom. Zoom links appear alongside the session titles in the attached congress program. The congress will take place in accordance with Home Front Command guidelines. Should these guidelines change due to the security situation, the congress will move to a fully online format.

To register for the congress, please click here.

The registration link also appears in the attached congress program. Speakers and participants with disabilities may request campus parking during registration. All congress halls are accessible.

We apologize for the timing of the congress, which overlaps with other academic events taking place during this period, and we hope to see many of you there.

Sincerely,

The Academic Committee
